Market Street, Draycott
Formerly a village pub, this characterful ground floor was reimagined as a sequence of interconnected living spaces, each given a clear purpose while retaining a sense of flow. The brief encompassed three linked rooms, each separated by subtle level changes. The challenge lay in making sense of the nooks, steps and thresholds, and creating a layout that felt intuitive, balanced and easy to live with.
A natural yet vibrant palette led by greens and blues draws the outside in, creating continuity across the rooms. Generous bespoke bookcase storage, built-in seating for both lounging and entertaining, and a tiled fireplace establish warmth and structure within the plan.

In the garden room, bespoke joinery provides practical storage for coats and shoes, while panel clad walls reference the building’s heritage and emphasise the pitched roof structure. The result is a playful yet grounded set of rooms that feel purposeful, comfortable and characterful.
