Morgan Street, Mile End
A return to Mile End. This time to rework the basement kitchen diner of a Georgian terraced home, for a client we first worked with a few years ago. Working within the existing footprint, the focus was on bringing clarity to the space; refining the layout, integrating storage more thoughtfully, and creating a palette that softens the room while still holding its own.
As a basement room, natural light is more limited, so maximising brightness and a sense of naturalness was key. Soft green cabinetry and warm oak elements were introduced to bring a gentle connection to the outside, helping the space feel lighter, calmer and more grounded.
The layout was reworked to better balance the kitchen and dining areas, improving flow and creating a clearer relationship between the two. Each element was carefully positioned to support how the space is used day to day, with joinery designed to integrate storage and display while maintaining a calm, cohesive feel.

Subtle detailing adds a quieter layer of character, including mixed metallic cabinet handles that introduce a slightly more romantic note against the otherwise pared-back scheme.
The result is a room that feels more resolved and easy to live in; practical, but with a sense of warmth and ease that sits comfortably within the home.
