The result is a suite that feels enveloping and indulgent yet light-hearted: a calm, characterful retreat that sits comfortably within the Edwardian home.

Pembroke Crescent, Hove
Originally one large room, this space was reconfigured to create a principal bedroom and adjoining ensuite through our One Room service. The intention was to create a retreat with a nostalgic nod and enough wit to keep it fresh.
The bedroom takes an enveloping approach, using a landscape wallpaper to enhance the Edwardian character of the space. Muted greens bring calm to the patterned walls, while chocolate and burgundy lend warmth and contrast. The bespoke bed with its curves introduces a sense of indulgence, and the window seat turns the bay into somewhere to linger while providing long-term storage beneath.
Through the arched doorway, the palette continues into a layered ensuite. Soft microcement walls sit alongside a colourful mosaic zellige floor, while an arched enclosure reveals hand-glazed tiles and luxurious double shower. Shaded wall lights and a gathered café curtain and sculptural freestanding bath bring a softness, extending the bedroom’s sense of comfort.
